At 10:20 this morning, fire officials released an update to basic Tea Fire information, noting first that the cause of the blaze is still being investigated and that anyone with information about how it may have started should call the sheriff’s anonymous tip line at (805) 681-4171.

By and large, last night was quiet and today, the fourth day of the Tea Fire, should see further recovery efforts by firefighters. So far, 1,940 acres have burned and 210 homes have been lost – 130 in the City of Santa Barbara and 80 in the County of Santa Barbara. Damage assessment is continuing. A list of homes in the city and county (the burned area covers both jurisdictions) that have been verified as having burned down is available here. Property owners with questions regarding the status of their property may also call County Emergency Call Center at (805) 681-5197, the Santa Barbara chapter of the American Red Cross at (805) 687-1331, and for City of Santa Barbara-specific information at (805) 897-1938 between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. Due to evacuations currently in place, residents may not be able to access properties on the list at this time.

Currently, 15 people are staying at the evacuee shelter at San Marcos High School. County emergency officials are requesting that all people currently evacuated due to the Tea Fire register with the American Red Cross, Santa Barbara County Chapter, Safe and Well Program. Please call (805) 687-1331 to register your evacuation status or register in person at the Red Cross Shelter at San Marcos High School, 4750 Hollister Ave., Goleta.

The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department has closed the Franklin Clinic until further notice. Patients needing to be seen can call the Santa Barbara Clinic at (805) 681-5488 or the Carpinteria Clinic at (805) 560-1050.

Mandatory evacuation orders are in effect for the following areas:

Cold Spring Road between Sycamore Canyon Road and East Mountain Drive

Sycamore Canyon at Chelham Way (Neighborhoods of Chelham, Paso Robles Drive, Stoddard Lane, and Dawlish Place are open.)

Canon View Road at Sierra Vista Road

Southern Boundary

Sycamore Canyon Road at Five-Points Roundabout (Open to residents northbound up to the slide area)

Las Alturas at Alameda Padre Serra (APS)

Loma Media at Las Alturas

Las Alturas Road at Conejo Road

Stanwood Drive at Mission Ridge Road

Stanwood Drive at El Cielito Road

Mountain Drive at El Cielito

Gibralter Road East at El Cielito Road

Mt. Calvary Road at El Cielito Road

East Camino Cielo remains closed from Painted Cave on West to Gibraltar Road on East
