S.B. Maritime Museum's annual Sea Festival

If you’ve seen any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, you know of the super cool square-rig sailing ship the Black Pearl. This weekend, Santa Barbara will be host to the Bill of Rights, a close cousin to the Pearl. Sporting a 115-foot mainmast, the 92-year-old schooner will be open to the public for viewing and for sailing. The Bill of Rights is visiting as part of the S.B. Maritime Museum’s annual Sea Festival, Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The two-day event also includes hands-on science activities; films of underwater expeditions of shipwrecks with Dr. Robert Ballard, who discovered the Titanic; storytelling; and remote operating vehicle (ROV) demonstrations.

S.B. Harbor. Cost: $4 adults, free for kids 12 and under. For information and tickets, call 962-8404 x115.
