Police Searching for Victims of Alleged Bad Check Writer
Arrested Woman Had Insufficient Funds, Investigators Say
Susana Eguiron Vidarte, 43, was arrested on July 8 for allegedly writing numerous checks at retail locations throughout Santa Barbara without having the necessary funds, according to a press release from the Santa Barbara police. It is suspected, noted police spokesperson Sgt. Lorenzo Duarte, that there are still unidentified victims of these bad checks. The police are asking any possible victims to contact Detective Brian Sawicki at (805) 897-2326.
