Laura Tsunoda

FROM INDY EDITOR TO INDY INTERN: Laura Tsunoda comes to us from Brown’s alternative weekly, The College Hill Independent (nicknamed The Indy), but has had no qualms transitioning from a feature editor to a newsroom intern. Fitting nicely into our hardworking team, Tsunoda has gotten a real kick out of tracking down and writing breaking stories: “News writing lets you learn and experience different things, and writing becomes a nice byproduct of that.” While she’s still figuring out where life in journalism will take her post-graduation, Tsunoda—who just turned 21—is putting the word out there. “If any literary agents want to take me out for a beer, they’re more than welcome.” Follow her work at independent.com/tsunoda.
