Exercising Good Judgment

A conserved friend of mine was written about recently who has been mandated to live in a facility. [Voice, “Overseeing the Overseers,” 8/5/10.] He has millions of dollars and the facility is expensive. Yet his impoverished sister and relatives are forced to pay for the weekly walks in the park which are so urgently needed for maintaining his strength. Shouldn’t the facility provide outings? Furthermore, as regards his nutrition, why is it not possible to provide the organic food which he has been eating for years? With all of that money, he should be living well—nothing and nobody should be standing in the way of that.

Additionally, is it standard practice to remove conservatees from their family and friends and put them under the jurisdiction of a county other than the one in which they have been living?
