Bonnie Carroll, a Santa Barbara resident and editor of Bonnie Carroll’s Life Bites News, a monthly international online travel/food/lifestyle magazine, was selected to serve on The Council of Media Tastemasters, an association of food and wine editors, editors, writers and bloggers, chefs, fashion journalists, television producers and stations, online video platforms, mobile device providers, and others who will participate on the Judging panel of “The Tasty Awards 2011” honoring the best in food and fashion programming.

Bonnie Carroll has been a travel/food/lifestyle writer for nearly fifteen years. She has written for Las Vegas Magazine, Malibu Guide, Beverly Hills News, Beverly Hills Times Magazine, Brentwood Media Group Publications (90210), Crystal Blue Magazine, Food & Home Magazine, Noozhawk, The Daily Sound and was also the Beverly Hills Bureau Chief for Food & Beverage International Magazine for five years, covering food, hotel and chef news from Santa Barbara to San Diego. Her studio and remote travel/food/chef interviews for Cable Radio Network and KZSB 1290 “Around the World Travel” can be heard on her website .

“I am delighted to be among this outstanding group of A-List food, wine, and fashion professionals who will participate as judges, as well as the talented winners in The 2nd Annual Tasty Awards competition, and I am looking forward to the January 13, 2011 Red Carpet Awards Show at the Egyptian theatre in Hollywood,” says Carroll.

Finalists for The Taste Awards are selected from all qualified nominees based on their level of excellence in the categories in which they have been nominated. Six finalists are selected to compete for each category. Nominations opened in July 2010 and close in September 2010. The first round of voting runs from September through October 2010. The final round runs October through November 2010. Finalists are announced in November 2010, and award winners are announced in January 2011. The presentation of Awards takes place at the January Gala.

Among the many 2010 Tasty Awards winners were Eric Ripert, Paula Deen, Vogue TV, Bon Appetit Magazine, cooking.com, Style.com, Top Chef, Naked Wine Show, Without Borders, Raising the Bar with Jamie Boudreau, Cooking Institute of America, No Reservations and Three Sheets.
