The Women’s Festivals organization is holding its fourth annual two-day event that, according to its Web site, focuses on “crucial issues facing women today in an interactive, multicultural, and entertaining format—providing fertile ground for networking, referrals, and resource sharing.” This year’s festival discussions include Creative Aging, Leading a Life of Impact, Cashing In on Great Ideas, and Why Diets Don’t Work. Speakers include Anne Doyle, author of Powering Up: Making the Leap to Leadership; Colonel Lillian Anita Dixon, who will speak on Building Lasting Relationships, On the Front Lines of Empowerment in the Middle East; and Alan Tratner, founder of Green2Gold International Incubators and Workshops, who will discuss Women Helping the World. The event is Friday, March 4, 4-8:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 5, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., at the Earl Warren Showgrounds (3400 Calle Real).
