Kindness of Strangers

We have been raising money to support a local family who recently lost their five-year-old little girl to an inoperable brain tumor. Our goal at the restaurant was to raise $1,000 to send the family to Disneyland to have a happy day with older brother. We were at $200. Every day people come in and put in ones, fives, sometimes tens, and an occasional 20. A man came in today, ate lunch, and read quietly in the corner. Before he left he came over to thank us, saw our jar for Nina’s family, and asked how much we thought could send them there to have a great time. Told him our goal. He sat down and wrote a check for $1000. Random acts of kindness are amazing and breathtaking. We couldn’t be happier to be part of such a kind and supportive community!
