Small Grass Fire in Goleta
Smoke Visible from Highway 101; Nearly Contained and No Buildings Threatened
Santa Barbara city firefighters are responding to a small grass fire between Highway 101 and the railroad tracks, near Highway 217 in Goleta.
Department spokesperson Brian Hayden said the fire is contained to a small area but is putting out a lot of smoke as it burns green vegetation. No buildings are threatened.
Two engines are on the scene, and an investigator is on his way, Hayden said.
