Paraglider Seriously Injured in Fall
64-Year-Old Man Stalled Midair Above More Mesa Beach
A 64-year-old man paragliding above More Mesa Beach was seriously injured around 2 p.m. today.
According to Santa Barbara County Fire Department personnel, who interviewed witnesses at the scene, the man was cruising at an altitide of 40 feet when his glider stalled and he made a hard landing on the beach.
Paramedics arrived and treated him for serious injuries before transporting him to the hospital. The cause of the accident is unknown.
