DAWG Ribbon-Cutting Celebration Tonight
Proof that Collaboration is the Key to Success
Tonight, from 4-5 p.m., Leadership Santa Barbara County students, DAWG supporters, and the community are welcome to enjoy appetizers, socialize, and view the newly completed murals, dog pens, training tools, and overall beautification of the shelter.Through collaboration, these organizations have achieved their goal of supporting dog adoptability by improving the living and recreational areas for dogs sheltered at DAWG.
The murals depict how DAWG contributes to our local community, and honors some of dogs that have deeply touched the shelter’s staff and volunteers.”The entire project is an important memory of 21 years of passion driven work that has resulted in the rescue of thousands of dogs who have changed thousands of families for the better. We are so thrilled to have collaborated with Leadership Santa Barbara in this creative effort, and together we’ve demonstrated the power of joining together toward a common goal,” says Emily Grossheider, Shelter Director at DAWG.
Leadership Santa Barbara County is an issue-oriented leadership development program limited each year to 30 diverse individuals who are committed to civic leadership.
