Councilmember Frank Hotchkiss Injured in Fall From Horse

Taken to Hospital Complaining of Back and Hip Pains

Santa Barbara City Councilmember Frank Hotchkiss was injured at around noon Friday when he was bucked from his horse in the Fiesta parade’s staging area. City firefighters and an ambulance crew responded to Pershing Park in the 100 block of Castillo Street to find Hotchkiss lying on the grass complaining of lower back and hip pains. He was stabilized in a stretcher and transported to Cottage Hospital. No other details on the incident have been released.
