Below, we get the skinny on this year’s installment, which brings Spaniard Jesús Carmona to the Granada Theatre for his U.S. debut. And in the pages to follow, The Independent’s arts editors roll out everything else this fall has to offer, including a spectacular close to the Santa Barbara Bowl season, a strong start to the 2013-2014 UCSB Arts & Lectures calendar, and a refreshingly out-there theater lineup that includes at least one show in a funeral home. Prepare yourself: It’s going to be a spook-tastic season.
