H&R Block, Inc. (NYSE: HRB), the world’s largest consumer tax services provider, announced today it has partnered with the Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to offer a free tax workshop on Thursday, January 23, from 5:30 -7 pm to be held at its office at 3890 La Cumbre Pl (next to Hamburger Habit at La Cumbre Mall).
H&R Block will present a 45-minute presentation that will highlight recent tax changes and share information on how small businesses can best prepare their tax documents for maximum effectiveness.
“Anyone self-employed, including freelancers, needs to track what they earn because even if they don’t get a 1099 or W-2, reporting this income is required by law – even when the payment is made in cash,” said Bill Norris, district manager for H&R Block.
Tax talks are free and open to the public. A tax professional, or a team of tax professionals will present the latest information and then answer questions.
