Sheriffs Investigate Stabbing at Lompoc Residence
Two Family Members Were Taken to the Hospital for Stab Wounds
Last night, two family members were transported to a local hospital in critical condition, both with multiple stab wounds, after an altercation, which took place at a private residence in an unincorporated area of Lompoc.
At around 9 p.m., a female in her twenties was found by a relative to be suffering from multiple stab wounds outside a residence on the 3500 block of Via Lato in the Mission Hills neighborhood of Lompoc. Ten minutes later, a 60-year-old male, also related to the victim, was found with stab wounds on the 700 block of Summerwood Lane in Lompoc.
Currently, officials believe that after the stabbing, the male victim left the crime site and called 911 from a friend’s home.
The male victim was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and the female victim was airlifted to the hospital. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office does not believe there are additional suspects. At this point, it is unclear whether each victim stabbed the other.
