Students flocked by the hundreds to the UCSB Arbor Tuesday afternoon to hear actor Danny DeVito stump for presidential candidate Bernie Sanders during a brief visit to the campus facilitated by student group UCSB For Bernie.
From an elevated platform, DeVito offered a short rallying cry to the voting-age population, punctuated by jabs at corporate media for suppressing the message of Sanders supporters. After a few minutes of speaking, the actor posed for selfies with attendees in exchange for their voter registrations.
“We have to show them how much we care about people — everybody in the world, not just like one or two people in the world,” DeVito told the crowd.
