The conclusion of the Milpas Street Beautification Project was celebrated on 5/14 by members of the Santa Barbara City Council with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. In order to make walking along the stretch between Canon Perdido and Quinientos streets easier, crews installed new lights to shine on sidewalks. Trash bins and bus stops were also upgraded. The $1.6-million project-funded by Measure D revenues-began in September 2006.
