The Raytheon Company-whose Vision Systems and Electronic Warfare Systems divisions are both located in Goleta-announced on 5/10 that it is seeking partners to help “create innovative solutions” to develop technology for defeating improvised explosive devices (IEDs). A company news release described IEDs as “the number one killer of service members in the global war on terror.”
