I've wondered for years if the private citizens who donate to the SB County Sheriff's fund for the purchase of expensive or out-of-budget items get a special pass when pulled over by Bill Brown's Finest out on the roads. I know a few people who have specail ID cards & even one guy with a smaller than normal sheriffs badge as a Citizen Volunteer
It's common knowledge that the CA Fire Fighters' Association sticker on the left, rear window of a vehicle works "magic" during a traffic stop, as do special license plate frames, & select "members only-type" stickers.
Does any of this happen here in SB County?

So glad this mud slinger is about to end!
What a HUGE WASTE of campaign $ to pump all the "straight to the trash" daily mailings!
I'd personally like to send all 40 + back to Maldo at his cost!

Maldo is toxic!

"as much as $14 million in taxable sales could be generated countywide..."
SURE! We're talking the No Pay Taxes Tribe here people.
Where will all these taxable sales come from? Roach coach lunch sales on the construction site?

I hate to agree with many of the other posters here, but I too suspect this entire case will be quietly swept under the rug in the very near future.
Hopefully alert court watchers will keep an eye open & let the media & rest of us know when it comes up in court.
If it's "business as usual," the SB judge who handles this will again affirm there are two systems of justice here in The American Riviera, and money does indeed talk.
Let's hope this is not the case; hold your breath.

Perfect timing! Peak of the summer
With the complete lack of rainfall in this area, I wonder why they don't wait until after Labor Day to start this. Hmmmm

Good bye, chump.
They always get caught! Usually it's the vehicle that does them in too, e.g. headlights not on, taillight bulb out, no rear license plate, "punched" trunk lock, overly dark tinted windows, no rear view mirror, something!
Punks forget the details after they're done loading the gun & "planning" their next move.
See ya!

The winning candidate will owe what to those unions & other "sugar daddys?"
Sad, but money does seem to talk.
The other sad reality is once a person is elected to an office higher than a local school board, they change forever.
Special interest groups & PACS get their hooks into them for good. It's either vote as we want you or you're going to be a one term representative. Period.
Most are nothing more than political prostitutes.
Will the system ever change?

Adam has to recuse himself from any discussions about Ag & wetlands policies. He has no choice.
I'd venture if he even attempts to vote or not step off the high platform at the meetings, his peers will demand it regardless of how they feel vs his views.
