At least old Barney finally woke up & smelled the coffee.
The Republicans will never get control in this county as long as they insist on supporting their party's abysmal environmental agenda, especially drilling a few hundred more offshore oil wells, and a few other biggies.
Btw, who now owns Barney's 53 room mansion? Has it been refurbed? I'd assume it can be seen from Google Earth or Google Maps.

Perhaps, too, there was only ONE qualified person from this area. I'd have to think that's the case considering the scramble for jobs here in The American Riviera.

Just curious 805bailbonds, how do you "guarantee" an appearance by one of your clients?
Are we talking Dog the Bounty hunter-type tactics?
Please elaborate for all of our curiosity. Thanks

When will Maldo ever "come clean" with us voters and settle with the IRS?
He's just like 97% of all politicians in that they CHANGE forever once elected to anything higher than a local school board. Sad
Money can't buy you love, but it sure can buy a lot of other things!
He needs to save himself, his family & the Republican party a boatload of cash by NOT running. It's time for him to get back to running the family's farming interest and settling with Uncle $am.

These four all-time losers are going to get what they deserve - many years behind bars and hopefully off our streets forever.
The rat will get his payback from the gang bangers in prison or out on the streets if he's released on probation. If he is, I'll bet he lasts no more than a month before we see him as a news item again.

+1 for all comments regarding this asinine legal action.
Pay up Pappas, lick your wounds and Nancy's too & then move on with your pathetic life. Your credibility in the S.Y. Valley is gone forever!
Nancy has finally seen enough of her inherited cash go poof with the Valley Journal, widely known as the Valley Urinal, and is sitting on the side lines for her next insane bout with Valley citizens.

This is exactly why it's good to pull a permit. They're not that expensive when you look as the end result of doing the job incorrectly from the get-go.

Once this land is gone to the Chumash, what's next? Another few thousand acres?
Hopefully all of our elected officials from local to our top federal representatives, listen to the majority of their constituents and do the right thing and refuse to sponsor the transfer.
The casino makes enough money per month they can buy what they want, pay their fair share of taxes & abide by the same guidelines as we non-tribal members.

I'm amazed at all the sophisticated technology available to the Coast Guard & other law enforcement agencies, that a crude, outboard motored craft can get all the way from Mexico this far into our supposedly secure country. Amazing!
A discovery like this must be major egg on the faces of all who attempt to shut these small boats & the smuggling down. Boo
Let's step it up, folks!
