To historypete,

Don't you just love the the uninformed who call the ones posting easily available information "Tea-party" type. What is it about the truth that so scares the left?? Please post some more delusional "bumper-sticker" slogans so I can LMAO!!!!!!

Just for the record, I'm still working 40 to 50 hours a week paying my bills and your candidates welfare slush fund in the name of re-election assuredness..

I just hope SSN and Medicare the funds I've contributed to my entire life are still their when I retire. But then again, its people like you who trash the ones paying the bills over the ones taking handouts.......

STOP THE PRESSES!!!!!!!!

One would think from all the above posts that SB was full of conservatives. Can this be?? Or are we (you) just all waking up? The Demo machine in SB is alive and well. Breaking it will not be easy. The biggest democratic financial supporter in SB County is the firefighters union.

Check out their 527 PAC fund for the last several elections:

Google "Local 2046 PAC Fund"

Here are some of the highlights of their contributions;

1) Das Williams from 2010 to present $10,100
2) Doreen Farr from 2008 to present $117,500
3) Salud Carbajal from 2005 to present $32,500
4) Hannabeth Jackson 2012 to present $4,500
5) Janet Wolf 2006 to present $141,536
6) Pedro Nava 2006 $8,000
7) Steve Lavagnino 2010 to present $19,000

When you see a Fire Fighter thank him/her for helping elect through their huge Political Action Committee all the key players of SB County..

Firefighters understand how to play the political game and win every time. Anybody wondering how their budget never gets stripped or how they continue to get excellent raises and benefits? This year alone they will receive a 14% pay raise. I don't know, maybe it's just me who follows the money trail more closely than others.....

Oh, I also forgot to tell you if any of you ever have the unfortunate ride in an ambulance to the hospital you might want to look at your ambulance bill because it will be quite high. Wanna know why? About 10 years ago the Fire Chiefs in the county through the unions contributions arm twisted the Board of Supervisors into placing a "First responders fee" on all ambulance bills. The Fire Fighters and the BOS forced AMR into placing this fee on their bills. Oh and BTW it won't be itemized because they forced the BOS into not making the "Fee" visible as a fee. Don't believe me call AMR or just call the counties EMSA office for a full briefing of your hard earned money being uniquely robbed by your local fire fighters.....

I'll use a phrase from geeber, "I'll pick the polar opposite of whomever geeber beiber picks".......

This poll proves that the "Left-wing" are lemmings. The chosen ones are already in the bag.......

Not sure how Rob Heckman got promoted from Captain to "Second-in-command" within two years. The "Good-O'l-Boys" Club is alive and well at County Fire. It should be interesting to note that this position opened up and three individuals within the dept. put in for the job. County HR determined that Heckman was not qualified for the position. What did the new Chief do you say? The position was reflown and low and behold Heckman was promoted. Just wondering, where the "Standards" lowered in order for the "New" Chief to promote his guy? Just say'in.......

Hey Barron,

Know your history. It was the BOS who chopped the budget of the Sheriff's Office. This dept. has always struggled to keep up. Has nothing to do with, "Living within your budget or selling choppers". But then again that takes brains and intelligence to understand simple economics.

It's idiots like you who have very short memories of the past. Hell, you don't even have to live in the past. Being "over-run"? Really, what do you suggest the officers do when confronted with angry drunk leftist at a left-wing school that teaches these juvenile delinquents to "Question authority" even though they are already breaking the law? Please Barron give us taxpayers some of that knowledge you pound away on that keyboard of yours.

Funny you would be the first mushroom to complain when they don't come to your call for help as fast as you want them to. But then again, its you, always complaining. They do something you complain, they don't do something you complain. You see Barron, you want them to live within there means. Remember, there is a price for doing that and you don't get to complain after the fact.

Oh, and BTW. I'm not a fan of the Sheriff. But some things are out of his control. It's called crime......

These "Deficients and Over budgets" really confuse me. I am unable to grasp political math.

Every year some departments are over-budget I get that. There are circumstances that that is going to occur. Especially in Law Enforcement when it is impossible to budget for a budget in the future when you have no idea what will happen in the new budget cycle. Things like; riots, floods, fires, homicides, IV Halloween and Deltopia, staffing shortages that require massive amounts of overtime and a multitude of other unpredictable events.

If my memory serves me right during the early part of the recession the Sheriff's Dept. did not fill vacancies for years and even gave up positions. I do not believe the Dept. today has as many employees as it did just a few short years ago.

So my next question is, if the Dept. has less employees today due to the Board of Supervisors failures to manage the counties budget properly how is the county going to pay for a new north county jail that is going to cost $18 million+ more in the Sheriff's budget?

I'm not a magician but I don't think even David Copperfield could pull the rabbit out of this hat.....

RHS go back to your mushroom hole your an idiot. If your unable to distinguish between "Charity" and the "Taking" of ones money your a moron. Foundations are free to give to whoever they please. It is not up to you or the government as to who they support.

"Woods-Claeyssens Foundation says on their web site that they are founded to give money to "those in need to acquire the basic necessities of life – food, clothing, shelter, social services, public safety, and self-actualization..."

What is it about this statement that a mushroom like you doesn't understand?
