Four of the most influential writers from contemporary Taiwan
will be giving a talk at UCSB on Thursday, April 20 about the
realities of Taiwan’s literary scene. Shih Shu-ch’ing, Ping Lu, Luo
Yijung, and Li Zishu will be on campus, allowing a rare chance for
their American followers to ask questions regarding their work.
Heads-up, though: The event is to be conducted entirely in Mandarin
Chinese. It happens next Thursday in the McCune Conference Room,
6020 HSSB, at 5:30 p.m.
