Paseo Nuevo Shop Protests Mall’s Lack of Downtown Recycling Program

The lululemon athletica store collected plastic and glass containers from throughout Paseo Nuevo on Earth Day, and then piled the collection in the shop’s front window. The display was a protest against the fact that Santa Barbara’s downtown mall has no recycling program. The Vancouver-based purveyor of yoga and athletic clothing so far is the only business in the Paseo that recycles.
