Wetlands Effort Receives Funding

The Southern California Wetlands Recovery Project announced thousands of dollars in funding for two local endeavors this week. A total of $39,500 has been earmarked specifically for recovery efforts already underway at Coal Oil Point near UCSB and the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden’s Toro Canyon property. The WRP-a union of 17 federal and state agencies-has given more than $8 million to restoration projects throughout the county during the past 10 years.
