Westmont president Gayle Beebe

Princeton Theological Seminary alum and philosophy of religion scholar Gayle Beebe became Westmont’s eighth president on July 1, officially succeeding Stan Gaede, who moved on to a new position at Gordon College in Massachusetts in July 2006. (Former Westmont president David Winter served as president in the interim following Gaede’s departure.) Beebe has previously served as dean of Michigan’s Spring Arbor University for seven years, during which time the school was named a “top-tier university” by U.S. News and World Report. Beebe also worked with several other Christian scholars to produce the Renovare Study Bible.
