Musab’s Slicks Box: A real-life pimp by day-aka Minnesota Slicks, and he swears it’s true-Minneapolis’s Musab was recently picked up by Oakland’s Hieroglyphics label, which presents this nicely flowing, at times introspective hip-hop album. While we’re not really into the degrading act of pimping hos, we do like Musab’s lyrical mastery and honest musing about whether the mack life is really the right one to live. Our answer? Stick to rapping and it just might pay off.
