UCSB’s premiere improvisational comedy troupe delivers a sober and hilarious alternative to the D.P.-crawling crowds every Friday night at 8 p.m. with its unrehearsed skits, songs, and games. But this Friday, crowds can expect a darker side of improv, when the cast spotlights the pain felt by those without a romantic partner on February 14 in the annual Anti-Valentine’s Day show. In this special hour-and-a-half performance, the gang promises to capitalize on the pain of tortured single souls and relationship woes, mixed with a healthy dose of general romantic cynicism. This unique act sells out almost every year, so get to Embarcadero Hall in Isla Vista early for the 8 p.m. show. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 general admission. Call 893-7464 for more info.
