A team of international astronomers including Rachel Street and Tim Lister of Santa Barbara’s Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Networkannounced this week that they have observed 10 previously unseen planets orbiting stars other than our sun. The discovery, which was achieved in conjunction with an international collaboration known as Super WASP (Wide Area Search for Planets), was described by researchers as a “very big step” in the field of planetary research.
