Cottage Health System, in the midst of a $100 million fundraising campaign, received a $5 million gift from Alexander and Louisa MacDougall to support construction, repair, and maintenance for the Cottage Eye Center, which will be renamed in the couple’s name. The gift puts Cottage at over 90 percent for their fundraising goal, the benefits of which will be used for seismic upgrades as mandated by state law.
