The cause of a fire at a Goleta building owned by weapons manufacturer Raytheon is under investigation. The fire, which broke out the afternoon of 4/20, caused roughly $100,000 in damage to the building and equipment, though no one was injured and the building evacuated quickly. The fire was contained to one room of the large, single-story building on Coromar Drive, in part thanks to the building’s automatic sprinkler system.
