32nd Annual Book Faire Opens in Los Olivos
Looking for some great new reads, but want to avoid paying sky-high retail prices? Be sure to check out the 32nd Annual Book Faire at St. Mark’s in-the-Valley Episcopal Church (2901 Nojoqui Ave., Los Olivos) this weekend, where books-and low prices-are aplenty. A Santa Ynez Valley tradition for more than three decades, all new and used literature is sold by the height of your stack at checkout-$2 per inch-regardless of the books’ original prices. An opening reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres will be held Thursday, October 15, from 5-8:30 p.m. ($10) for those who want first dibs on the selection; the sale continues Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 16-18, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day (no admission fee).
