A 62-year-old Oxnard man was killed in a collision on Highway 154 Wednesday night, after his car veered into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle. The man was driving solo in his car two miles west of Rancho San Marcos Golf Course around 10:30 p.m. when the collision occurred.

There were four occupants in the other vehicle, one who was left in critical condition, one who had moderate injuries, and two with minor injuries. Two of the victims were from Hawaii, while the other two were from other parts of California. The name of the deceased has not been released because his next of kin had not yet been contacted.

CHP officials, who estimate both vehicles were traveling at approximately 45 miles per hour, continue to investigate the crash.
