Das Williams Looks to Ban Trucks on Highway 154

Assemblymember Das Williams introduced legislation this week to restrict large trucks from using Highway 154 as a route for travel. The bill comes after talks with the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments on how to improve safety. Concern for the windy, narrow mountain road climaxed last fall after a truck experiencing brake problems descended from the pass and plowed into a home, killing three people inside it.
