Oil Spill at Faria Beach

An estimated 55 gallons of oil found its way to the Pacific Ocean after a small landslide caused a pipeline rupture on 3/8 in Ventura County about a mile north of Faria Beach. The pipeline was eventually shut down, but not before roughly 210 gallons total spilled out. Workers built dams and set up booms to stop the oil from spreading down the beach, according to reports.
