Direct Relief Responds to Tornado Victims

While nationwide attention quickly turned elsewhere, Goleta-based Direct Relief International (DRI) has made available its $36 million in medicines and medical supplies to clinics in areas hit by tornadoes. DRI has delivered more than $756,000 in medical material to 39 health facilities in the six southern states impacted by tornadoes. DRI also sent 103 containers of personal care and oral rehydration items to an Alabama clinic treating 3,000 displaced people.
