Official Decision in Indy Lawsuit

On Wednesday, September 14, Judge Denise de Bellefeuille issued her statement of decision in The Independent editor-in-chief Marianne Partridge’s lawsuit against publisher Randy Campbell. It is the official written decision based on the judge’s ruling from the bench in favor of Partridge and her attorneys Gary Hill and Timothy Trager on August 8.

Partridge filed suit in February 2010, alleging breach of contract, specific performance, and breach of fiduciary duty, among other things. Campbell fired a cross-complaint against Partridge, and the matter went to trial in the first week of August 2011.
