The school board voted 3-1 to endorse Prop. 38, civil rights attorney Mollie Munger’s revenue measure that would provide schools more money with fewer purse strings than the governor’s competing measure — Prop. 30 — which the board had also voted to endorse at its previous meeting. Trustee Kate Parker was not present, and Annette Cordero dissented because the ballot measure leaves out community colleges. Ed Heron, worried that the endorsement of two competing measures would confuse voters, said his yes vote was “with trepidation.”
