Photos: Hugh Masekela and Vusi Mahlasela at UCSB’s Campbell Hall

Contributing photographer David Bazemore was on deck at UCSB last week to capture iconic South African musicians Hugh Masekela and Vusi Mahlasela at Campbell Hall. The pair current tour aligns with the 20th anniversary of the end of Apartheid in South Africa. The setlist included a wide range of South African freedom songs, sung by Mahlasela and played by renowned trumpeter Masekela.
