Oh, we forgot to tell you, it’s going up a dollar this week in California. Lack of supply. Someone’s got to pay for the spill cleanup and lawsuits. Someone’s got to pay for the shutdown of production offshore because the supervisors (rightly) would not allow crude to be trucked down the highway. The lessons from Mad Max Thunderdome are alive and well in California. Remember the words from Master who controlled Bartertown’s power supply from his underground pig farm? Is our world any different? We can’t force the oil companies to lower prices. Maybe we can mandate they lower the pumps 18 inches. At least the backstretch may do us some good.
