Detectives Seek Suspect Accused of Robbing Parking Kiosk
Man Reportedly Threatened Attendant with Makeshift Weapon
Investigators are searching for a male suspect accused of threatening the attendant at a Chapala Street city parking garage and stealing “a small quantity of cash” from the kiosk on December 17, said police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood.
The armed robbery occurred at 9:53 p.m. on Thursday when the suspect reportedly threatened the attendant at the 916 Chapala Street garage with an unconventional weapon, neither a gun nor a knife, and demanded cash. Police couldn’t elaborate on the type of weapon, citing the ongoing investigation. In the surveillance photograph, the suspect can be seen be seen standing near the left front passenger window of a dark colored car and approaching the parking kiosk.
