Is there some way of finding out how many Santa Barbara citizens canceled their News-Press subscription because of its endorsement of Donald Trump? We subscribed to the daily paper shortly after we married 49 years ago. This past June we canceled our subscription because of the Trump endorsement.

It has never been a secret that our local paper has always endorsed Republican candidates. But the paper’s endorsement of Trump disrespected our citizens and our city’s history — Mexican, Spanish, Chumash. Trump is racist and bigoted. For our local paper to endorse him is totally irresponsible because of his hateful rhetoric.
