Streetball Spectacular at Kmart

Hi-jinks are the game of the day at Kmart's parking lot when Chris Staples and top "dunk masters" appear for a promotion on Saturday.

Goleta’s Kmart parking lot on Saturday is the final stop of a five-city dunkathon featuring a rotating cast of the country’s top hoop-masters, including Chris Staples, Guy Dupuy, Porter Maberry, Jonathan Clark, and Taurian “Air-Up-There” Fontenette. The autumn leg of the tour started in The Bronx — with the first summer exhibition in Los Angeles in July — to promote the store’s exclusive line of athletic shoe, Risewear. If only. Shoe customization, laser printing, and airbrushing are part of the event, along with a live DJ, athlete meet-and-greets, and giveaways. It all happens at 6865 Hollister Avenue, Saturday, October 15, from about 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
