Owners of the Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market chain have obtained design approval to knock down the group of shops along the 300 block of North Milpas Street — which included Whitefoot Meat Market — and build a new 11,500-square-foot produce retailer. While Fresh & Easy has secured demolition permits and approval from the Architectural Board of Review, it has yet to submit final plans for its building permits.
