War Costs Taxpayers $1.01 Billion

According to the Santa Barbara chapter of MoveOn.org, the war in Iraq has cost the 23rd Congressional District-which includes the City of Santa Barbara and an adjacent sliver of pricey coastal real estate-$1.01 billion thus far. The announcement came as part of a concerted effort by nationwide MoveOn chapters to highlight the economic burden the war has placed on U.S. taxpayers.
