The Humane Society of the United States announced its commendation of the New Frontiers Natural Marketplace chain for implementing a policy of using and selling eggs exclusively from cage-free hens, even in deli and bakery products. New Frontiers’ two California stores, in Solvang and San Luis Obispo, are run by members of the vintage 1970s Sunburst community, now centered in the Lompoc Valley.
