Dear loonpt: apparently who have not been at the beach after Flotopia, otherwise you wouldn't make such a blatantly false statement. I go to this beach quite often too, and I see a lot of trash. I see a lot of trash at each beach, but IV tops it.

loonpt: I could care less if 10 drunks fall from the cliffs during Flotopia or any other event. I don't care if students what to have a good time - so do I.
What I care about is the environment and this event had a huge impact. I also care that I am as a taxpayer have to pay for the clean-up and other costs associated with this and other events im I.V. Therefore I think this has been coming for a long time and yes: actions do have consequences.

I am appalled by all of you (left and right) who feel the need to politicize a tragedy like this. My condolences to his family.

"...and no amount of willful ignorance, dishonesty, racism or other Fascistic behavior will stop us...."

I am so sick of intimidating bullies who cry "Racist" and/or "Fashist" everytime someone tries to voice a different opinion. What happened to respectful discourse? Has this country gone to the dogs?

Dear IVconcerned,

You are the reason nudists keep the location of these places a well kept (known) secret. Because real naturists or nudists are of all ages and shapes and not ashamed of their bodies but comfortable in their skin. People who view it as a meat market or a pick-up place have contributed to the closure of these beaches, due to their misconception that nudity equals sex.

Please keep hanging out at IV.

No, not intentionally, but irresponsibly - and the result is a dead little boy.
