Those making an effort to recall County Supervisor Brooks
Firestone took their first big step forward last Friday when
prominent local Democrat Brett Wagner served the 3rd District
Supervisor with official papers signaling the kick-off of the
recall campaign. Wagner – who hopes to eventually replace Brooks –
must gather more than 7,500 signatures from 3rd District residents
in order to get the recall on the November ballot. Wagner dropped
out of the 24th District congressional race last month to pursue
the recall, accusing Firestone of being elected under “false
pretenses,” promoting development, and undercutting environmental
efforts. Brooks has not publicly expressed any concern about the
recall.
