The Skinny: Breadwinner formed in S.B. in 2004 and began
writing, performing, and perfecting a fine balance between raw and
produced rock ’n’ roll-rooted sounds. The band’s debut album is a
blues-inspired, melodic rock tribute that has a surprisingly
original flare. Breadwinner is currently working on new material
and evolving their sound with songs that Matt Wood calls “more
explosive and creative” while still “building on the foundation of
rock ’n’ roll that can be heard on our demo.” Breadwinner is also
set to film a live performance that will be aired on their Web
site, breadwinnerband.com. This past Tuesday, June 6, they
took part in 107.7 FM’s Battle of the Bands competition at
SOhO.

Next gig: TBA as part of KIST’s 107.7 FM’s Battle of the
Bands
