The Solar Power of Costco

The photovoltaic cells atop the Costco store in Goleta’s Camino Real Marketplace are currently operational and supplying the store with approximately 40 percent of its total power needs, a Costco spokesperson said. The Ventura-based REC Solar installed the cells in January 2008.
