The City of Santa Barbara and Ampersand Publishing-the parent company of the News-Press-settled a lawsuit this week alleging that a volunteer city committee violated the Brown Act by speaking about the De la Guerra Plaza redesign when that project was not officially on the agenda. The daily paper has been critical of the De la Guerra redesign.
