Ron Sherrill, the 51-year-old Vandenberg Village resident reported missing last Thursday, was found today around noon. According to a press release from sheriff’s spokesperson Drew Sugars, neighbors found Sherrill in the chaparral near Vela Way in Lompoc. Although disoriented and dehydrated, Sherrill appeared to be in good condition and he was taken to Lompoc Hospital for further evaluation. No further information is currently available on his condition.

Rescue teams, including helicopter and canine units, had been searching for Sherrill near his home since Thursday where he was last seen at about 3:30 a.m. According to a KSBY report, his wife, Susan Sherrill, told KSBY reporters that her Sherrill had recently undergone knee replacement surgery and was under medication.
